Client Visit Speech

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen
First Job at cognizant, First project done in cognizant and liberty! My first account in cognizant. The FIRST things in life that happen to you play a very decisive role, they form a benchmark against which all your forth coming ventures will be judged and scaled and I can surely tell that replacing liberty mutual as a benchmark seems quite distant.
I joined Liberty mutual as an Entry level Trainee and the exponential learning curve that started then continues and 1 and ½ years of working for liberty still interests me. Initially, I thought that my role as a trainee, supporting liberty mutual billing application from offshore will be very limited and will not give me a good exposure of liberty mutual as a whole but I stay corrected by the confidence cognizant has in liberty mutual as its client, that they were willing to let me take the ownership of my work and gave me the opportunity to work directly with liberty mutual.
I appreciate the positive impression that liberty mutual has set on me, evident from the multiple appreciation mails received from them. I also appreciate the extra mile you have gone by actively participating and working with us. The Dignity and Respect with which liberty treats people, only by treating its customers, and each other, well, can one build strong, long-lasting relationships. I appreciate all that.
I recall the tireless Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions which we had as part of the Safeco Billing team wherein ensuring that the deliveries and the transition is meeting expectations with no hiccups. I appreciate the patience and understanding shown by liberty mutual during this phase and the hard work, commitment and dedication shown my team to make it a success. I along with my team take pride in the fact that in a quick time after moving into steady state we were able to understand the system well and earn the appreciation from you.
Liberty Mutual has committed itself to provide broad, useful and competitively-priced insurance products and services to meet their customer’s ever-changing needs. Their delivery on this commitment is the reason they are now the 5th largest P&C insurance company in the United States and an even bigger reason why we here at cognizant take pride in having them as our partner. Our want to exceed your expectation and be a part of a stronger relationship is what tells everything about the relationship we share.
I look forward to discussing how I can contribute to the bottom line success of your company and I hope you enjoy the hospitality of Chennai.

"D-day" jitters

As I've mentioned before, there are lots of joys and sorrows you can get in school and college, but there is pretty much no indescribably satisfying a joy nor devastatingly mood-ruining sorrow as that of the end-quarter grades. So, let me just say right now that I have been fucked this quarter, fucked badly. Apparently my conception of "working hard" is miles away from what I need to be doing in my forth year of college and I need to get my act together next quarter onwards if I want to be able to look myself in the face every morning.

Anyhow, I shall deal with my grief in my own good time, namely, by having lunch.

Radical Pacifism

Peace and not constant conflict is insane,
Where there is no chance for change

The never empty spaces within me
Need filling with new actions

I hope to still change, out of fear
Never to be confused with sacrifice

She points to the dilemma, my unclear intent
No it’s not warlike but my passiveness.

The feeling that a wrong has been committed
Which demands equal suffering to repay that wrong

The retribution at hand may take me to my nemesis
Coz it targets symbol of certain problems
than the problem itself.
